A Very Wet & Windy Farmers Market

We had our first experience of an outdoor event in Brecon on Saturday, we knew the weather looked ominous but duly arrived at 8a.m. to set up. The rain held off whilst the gazebos were put up and, thankfully, as we hadn't even thought to put a table in the car, Simon from "The Gourmet Gardener"(he makes the most amazing rhubarb and rose syrup which is fab in a glass of prossecco) was able to help us out, what a Gentleman thank you. Emily,my partner in crime at the Farmers Markets, wasn't free to help out with this one (maybe she saw the forecast) as she's finishing the dissertation for her nursing degree. So l had Jennie helping me, we moved the table backwards, forwards, sideways that many times and if Mark and Simon hadn't held on tight to the gazebo through the vigorous gusts it would have found itself in Abergavenny!
All in all we had a great day thanks to everyone that braved the weather. See you all in Talgarth next Sunday (2nd May)...indoors this time!
